Lakiya Charleston was shot by a bunch of fools that singled out her families home for no reason at all. These people wanted to play target practice with someones home and truely caused some real damage to a family that had 6 kids in the home.
Don’t get me wrong i have lived in the inner cities for a long time it usualy have to be a reason to shoot up a families home . Despite that there would be no reason a true leader of a gang would shoot at a families house full of kids. So, iam guessing who ever did this to this poor family, if they was a gang! did not have any real leadership and that tels me that these people where eithier having fun or trying to get back at a sister that lived in the house because as usual there was no men in the home.
There where about thirty shots that rang out on that house of 6 children so with all those bullets you have to ask yourselves, what was that woman in that house was doing to get her home singled out and one of children rusted to the Hospital for a gunshot ? That is the question because alot of crazy crap happens in the streets but they usualy have a reason behind it.
There is reports that the young lady that was shot had problems with her organs but other then that there is no real details.
I have made a video of this news coming out of chicago so visit Redzone news TV for the video
Houston, TX — Dionn Megginson, an 11-year old girl from Texas, is making her way to excellence. At such an early age, she has just recently started classes as a 9th grader in high school.Dionn is a student at the school’s inaugural class at the Early College Academy where she’s taking honors Biology, English, Spanish, AP Human Geography, Dance and Culinary Arts.
This week, she just completed her first week in high school and she is already excited for what’s next to come.
Dionn’s parents noticed her thirst for knowledge years prior even at her early age.
“We realized Dionn was unique at a very early age, before she could walk. Teachers at her daycare would always tell us that Dionn was very smart and that she knew a lot for her age. It was suggested by them that we have her tested when she got into elementary school,” said Dionn’s mother, Sharon.
After taking the test while in Kindergarten, Dionn was promoted to first grade through credit by exam (CBE). She received the Principal’s Award each year from grade 1 to 4, which is the highest student recognition at her elementary school. At 9-years old, she entered 6th grade when she was allowed to skip 5th grade.
Now, she hopes to graduate from high school at the age of 14. She dreams of attending Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, where she would study Mathematics to be like her role model, Katherine Johnson.
HENRICO COUNTY, Va. — “She’s still on a ventilator and in a coma, but she’s making big progress.”
Into the living room of a home on Byron Street in Henrico last Thursday afternoon, came a bullet which shattered the window and hit young Kemiyah Edwards in her head.
“The bullet came through the widow and hit her near the temple,” said her aunt Monday, asking that I not identify her.
Crime Insider sources tell me her grandmother loaded the five-year-old Glen Lea kindergartner into a car and stopped for help at the Oak Hill Shopping Plaza a few blocks away.
From there she was rushed to VCU Medical Center, where she is now in critical but stable condition.
“Besides prayers we have a GoFundMe set up so she can have what she needs when she comes home,” said her aunt.
Kemiyah is the only girl on both sides of her family. Her aunt credits the child’s stubborn, independent spirit with a splash of tomboy for her miraculous survival. “She is very sassy, a ball of joy to be around,” she said. “Loves trolls and Minnie Mouse and Doc McStuffins.”
Crime Insider sources tell me investigators don’t believe the shooting was random.
Family members say they don’t know who pulled the trigger, but that whoever did should be ashamed of endangering a lot of young and innocent lives.
The investigation is ongoing Kemiyah’s family praying for her recovery and the gunman’s arrest. “We encourage anyone that knows something to call police,” said the little girl’s aunt. “If this was your daughter, granddaughter, cousin or niece, you would want someone to come forward and say something.”
Detroit, MI — The family of Aiyana Stanley-Jones, a 7-year old girl shot and killed by a Detroit police officer, has received an $8.25 million settlement almost 9 years after the tragic incident. The settlement was finalized just days prior to the scheduled civil trial. On an early Sunday morning of May 2010, Aiyana was sleeping on a couch beside her grandmother, Mertilla Jones, when police officers suddenly entered the home in search for a murder suspect. The raid apparently went wrong as Aiyana got shot in the head after a short altercation between her grandmother and officer Joseph Weekley.
The officer claimed what happened was an accident and his gun discharged as he was struggling with Aiyana’s grandmother.
The incident was captured by a film crew for The First 48, a documentary series that shows real-life scenes in a homicide investigation. It was reportedly used as evidence in the lengthy investigation and two trials in connection to Aiyana’s death.
Weekley was subsequently charged with involuntary manslaughter, which was dismissed during the second trial in 2014. He was even allowed to return to the police force in 2015.
Geoffrey Fieger, the family’s lawyer, confirmed the settlement could help the family move on but it “won’t provide full justice. The only full justice would be to bring Aiyana back and I can’t do that.”
Meanwhile, Detroit Corporation Counsel Lawrence Garcia said in a statement, “Aiyana’s death was a tragic loss for her family and has been a heavy burden on our community. We believe today’s settlement is fair because it balances the needs of Aiyana’s family and our responsibility for the city’s finances. We hope this resolution will provide everyone involved with a measure of closure.”
Nationwide — Ciham Ali Ahmed, an Eritrean-American girl, was imprisoned by the government of Eritrea at the age of 15 although she was never convicted of any crime. Since then, Ciham, who is now 22-years old, has been held incommunicado for 6 years and even her family doesn’t know where she is exactly or how she is doing. Born in California to Eritrean parents, Ciham grew up in Eritrea where her father Ali Abdu formerly served as the minister of information under President Isaias Afwerki. In 2012, her father fled to Australia fearing for his life after a rift with the president.
Ciham’s father then reportedly negotiated with smugglers to get his daughter out of the country because he thought the government would take retribution on him through his daughter.
Eritrea has a policy of forced national military service for young people starting at the age of 18. The conscription should last for only 18 months but he feared the government would have his daughter face a life of permanent conscription instead.
However, Ciham was arrested on December 8, 2012 while attempting to cross the border to Sudan to escape.
Not only Ciham tried to leave the country in fear of never coming out of conscription. The UN refugee agency UNHCR said there were 459,430 Eritrean refugees around the world by the end of 2016.
Ciham, described by her family as caring and compassionate, never faced trial and wasn’t charged with any crime. Yet she remained in prison and her whereabouts are still a mystery even to her family.
Since then, her family tried to find out where she is but her uncle, Saleh Younis, told CNN they were only told that “her case is being personally handled by the President and nobody knows anything about it.” Her family also tried to seek help from the US government.
“Because she is US born… I really thought the government of the United States would scream bloody murder but no one is speaking for her. It’s very, very disappointing. She is a United States citizen but because she grew up in Eritrea and because her parents are Eritreans, then I guess she is not fully American,” Younis said.
Recently, several organizations are drawing attention to Ali Ahmed’s disappearance. A group called One Day Seyoum took her story to social media sites for a campaign using the hashtag #happybirthdayciham. The Amnesty International is also urging people to sign the petition to call on the Eritrean government to release her.
“Granting Ciham Ali Abdu unconditional release would signal that there is hope for a new era of reform to begin in Eritrea,” said Felix Horne, senior Africa researcher at Human Rights Watch. “The government has already deprived Ciham of her adolescence; she now deserves to spend her adulthood as a free woman.”
