Blackman kills twin brother because he was an all star running back

The teen was an all-star player at Philadelphia’s Mastery Charter School.

A Philadelphia teenager has been charged in the fatal shooting of his twin brother, police said Wednesday.

Police charged 18-year-old Fayaadh Gillard with murder in connection with the death of his twin, Suhail Gillard, an all-star football player at Philadelphia’s Mastery Charter School Lenfest Campus.

Officers responded to a call about a shooting on Sunday at around 5:30 p.m. and found Suhail suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest, according to the Philadelphia Police Department. He was transported to Lankenau Medical Center by police and pronounced dead hours later.(MORE: Gunman dead, 3 injured in shooting at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard)

Investigators have not revealed any details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting, but family members said they’re confident that no foul play was involved.

“This was an accident. Fayaadh is an excellent and great kid just like his brother,” their uncle, Hasan Ford, told ABC News on Wednesday as the family prepared for the young man’s Thursday burial. “They were our greatest pride and our greatest joy. They were the ones with the most potential of our lineage.”

He declined to discuss how the teens gained access to the firearm, but he said the brothers had “never dealt with guns prior to this incident.”

Fayaadh has been charged with murder, possession of an instrument of crime, unsworn falsification to authorities, and obstructing justice, according to police.

Suhail Gillard, a player at Philadelphia’s Mastery Charter School Lenfest Campus in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was killed on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019.

John Davidson, assistant principal and head football coach for Mastery Charter School Lenfest Campus, where the brothers were both seniors, said the loss had shaken the school community. He described Suhail as “a scholar athlete” who was fielding college offers from several schools.

“He was a hard worker — on and off the field. He was one of the players that I would love to coach again,” Davidson told ABC News Wednesday following a school-sponsored ceremony in the teen’s honor. “We all admired his work ethic, his commitment to the game and his strive to always be better.”

“As a school, we’ve rallied together to support one another as well as his family in this tragic time,” he added.

Davidson said Suhail had attended the charter school since seventh grade and was a Philadelphia all-star and a three-time All-Public League player. He was also a member of the school’s track team.

“Offensively, he was our go-to. He was what we built our offense around this year,” the football coach said. “He was a rock for us.”(MORE: Utah school fires substitute teacher who told 5th-graders ‘homosexuality is wrong’)

The school hosted a balloon releasing ceremony for Suhail at Penn’s Landing, the waterfront park where the school is scheduled to hold its senior graduation later this year. The school is also planning to present the teen’s mother with a trophy and jersey in the near future, according to Davidson.

“He’s been in our school since the seventh grade and his mom has been a part of our fabric since he’s been here. We’re a very small school with a strong family atmosphere,” Davidson said. “We’re trying to heal, but it’s a continuing process and it’s going to go on for some time.”

Classmates remembered the slain teen with a memorial near the school’s entrance featuring his football jersey number, flowers, and numerous photos of him and his friends.

Florida Police Officers Who Slammed A 15 Year-Old Black Boy’s Head To The Ground In Viral Arrest Video Said He Was Acting “Aggressive 4/24/2019

A Florida police deputy has been placed on restricted duty after cellphone video footage surfaced of two white officers slamming the head of a pepper-sprayed black teenager against the ground while placing him under arrest on Thursday.

Thousands of people shared videos of the incident on Twitter and Facebook over the weekend, tagging them “#JusticeForLucca,” and demanding that the officers be fired or prosecuted.

Broward County Sheriff Gregory Tony said in a statement Friday that the department would conduct a “thorough investigation” into the incident and said that Deputy Christopher Krickovich, one of the officers pictured in the video, had been placed on restricted duty.

In the affidavit, Krickovich said that he and his partner, Sgt. Greg LaCerra, responded to a call from a McDonald’s in Tamarac, Florida, at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday after employees reported a large group of teenagers gathering for a fight outside the restaurant. He wrote that the McDonald’s was a popular after-school gathering place for students from a nearby high school and the scene of frequent fights — including an incident the day before that had caused damage to a bystander’s car.

Krickovich and LaCerra arrived after the fight had ended, per the affidavit. As they ordered the crowd of teens to disperse, they identified one of the perpetrators from Wednesday’s fight who had been warned not to trespass in the area again and took him into custody.

“While I was dealing with the male on the ground, I observed his phone slide to the right of me and then behind me. I observed a teen wearing a red tank top reach down and attempt to grab the male student’s phone,” Krickovich wrote.

When LaCerra ordered the other boy to stay back, he said, the teenager “took an aggressive stance” toward the officer and “bladed his body and began clenching his fists.”

LaCerra pepper-sprayed the teen in the face and forced him to the ground, Krickovich wrote. There were more than 200 students in the crowd, according to Krickovich, and this is when many of them started recording the incident on their phones.

Per the affidavit, the officers feared for their safety and worked to restrain the teenager on the ground in an attempt to de-escalate the situation. Krickovich said that he hit the 15-year-old with a closed fist on the right side of his head as “a distractionary technique” to get the teen to release his right hand from under his head. “This technique was successful and I was able to place him into handcuffs without further incident.”

Additional videos of the incident taken by other students surfaced on social media throughout the weekend.

The original video and others that emerged were shared across Twitter and Facebook on Saturday, with many calling for the officers in question to be fired or prosecuted for brutality.

In a preplanned meeting with black leaders Saturday, Broward County Sheriff Tony said that he was taking the investigation into the matter seriously but emphasized the importance of following the appropriate procedures.

“That’s the most electrifying and dangerous situation for a law enforcement administrator to handle. Any time a white deputy is involved in contact with using force on a black youth, this thing blows up,” he said. “How we handle that from an administrative standpoint has to be very tactful.”

“I’m not going to sit and try to brush anything under the table,” he said. “The facts are what they are.”

A BLACK MOTHER WAS CONVICTED ON FELONY CHARGES FOR TRYING TO GET HER KID IN A BETTER SCHOOL THAT WAS NOT IN HER DISTRICT 3/18/2019

A mother from Akron applied for her kids to go to school that was not in her district in 2011 was convicted on felony charges for lying about living in a district that her and her kids did not have residents in. I remember this because when i was young my mother sent me to a school where it was mostly white kids.At the time i was in grade school she did the same thing this woman did almost and she did not get in no trouble, but this woman did.

Her name is
“I felt that the sentence was draconian and really, the case of Kelley Williams-Bolar, it’s such a microcosm of everything that is wrong with America when it comes to access to educational quality, when it comes to economic inequality and when it comes to inequality in the criminal justice system,” Syracuse University Professor Boyce Watkins said at that time. r at the time she was homeless and wanted a better life for her two girls. It is total madness that in America you can’t send your kid to a better school then the one that is in your area. I mean , it is not High School or college. She just want her kids to get a good start in life and want to be a good mother and give them a future

It is sad that white people have no problems getting there kids in good school but this country is going to hand this woman a felony charge for the very same thing white people do!!

Because she lied she will have to serve ten days in jail and 80 days of community service for her action in 2011. On top of that William – Bolar was perusing her decree in teaching. This will no doubt her her chances on getting a teaching job as a teacher.

They hired a private investigator to track William-Bolar down where she had to pay 30,000 dollars in back tuition . When they come after you they come after you hard .

When white people get jammed up like this and get caught for sending there kid to a school they are not suppose to be in the Law gives them time to remove there kids from the school. In the case of black people this is not the case you are handed a felony charge that will sticjk with you where ever you go. To every application you ever sign for a job and destroy your credibility. Basically you are still in prison with out the bars until you have no choice to do something stupid and go to prison

Acting Principal Accused of Attacking 11-Year Old Student, Ripping Her Braids Out 2/26/2019

Madison, WI — Rob Mueller-Owens, a positive behavior support coach at a middle school in Wisconsin who was also the acting principal, allegedly attacked and pulled out several braids from an 11-year old African American student after a classroom dispute. The girl’s mother, Mikiea Price, said her daughter called her on February 13 to tell her about the incident. The girl reportedly told her she and her classmate sprayed perfume on themselves in the bathroom before returning to class. The smell apparently activated their teacher’s allergies so she asked who sprayed perfume but no one admitted.

The teacher then asked Mueller-Owens to come in to handle the situation. When the girl eventually admitted she sprayed perfume, she was asked to leave the classroom.

However, as she was walking out of the classroom, Mueller-Owens allegedly began pushing her out, causing her to hit a row of lockers. He also stayed on top of her for about 15 seconds after losing his balance.

The incident was caught on a surveillance video described by Price as a “very disturbing sight to see.” But the video won’t be publicly released until an investigation is completed.

Price added that her daughter has been traumatized and afraid to return to school since the incident.

“Just the whole experience is just traumatic and devastating and just confusing,” Price told the WISC-TV. “I’m just disgusted at this whole incident. You know, I send my kid to school to learn, and that’s a place where mothers send their kids to be comfortable in. I just feel violated in so many ways that this even happened to her.”

Though Price didn’t know exactly how her daughter’s braids were pulled out, she said she was holding three braids and there were bald spots in her scalp when she picked her up at school.

Price said she is planning to take legal actions and sue the Madison Metropolitan School District. She said the school failed to inform her about the incident and also didn’t call any doctor or nurse to examine her daughter.

Meanwhile, the school district said in a written statement that they “take any situation of this nature very seriously.”

Moreover, Mueller-Owens, who once paid a visit to the White House in 2015 for his work with restorative justice, has been placed on leave and banned to return to Whitehorse Middle School, where Price’s daughter goes to school, pending the result of the investigation.
